BACK FOR MORE
The reality TV favourite has agreed to resurrect the show after deciding it was a much better fit for his family
PETER Andre has shunned plans for a reality show like his ex Katie Price – to front a feel-good home improvement show on ITV instead.
Peter, whose marriage to fame-hungry Katie saw him thrust into the limelight 24-7, has agreed to resurrect 60 Minute Makeover with Peter Andre after deciding it was a much better fit for his life with wife Emily and their two young children.
The TV star, 44, has now signed up for a third series of the ITV show and filming will start later this summer.
A source said: “Peter has had numerous offers of having his own show like his ex Katie but it’s not something Emily and he want to be involved in.
“Emily is a private person and they’ve agreed they don’t want their young children to be exposed to the sort of lifestyle Peter’s eldest two were with Katie.
“Instead he will be bringing home the bacon by hosting 60 Minute Makeover instead – it’s not as glamorous but it works for them, it brings in the cash and the hours work for his young family – there won’t be cameras around their home detailing there every move.
“Filming starts soon and Peter’s really looking forward to making some of his fans who are in desperate need of some home improvement help very happy.”

Peter, who this week celebrated his two year anniversary with wife Emily, first landed the 60 Minute Makeover hosting role in November 2013 – and it was even re-branded as Peter Andre’s 60 Minute Makeover.
The show sees the reality star lead a team of designers and workmen as they travel around the UK transforming homes, solving design dilemmas and surprising people with home makeovers.
Participants are usually nominated by a friend or relative for a secret visit, and the team totally renovate the house while they are away.
60 Minute Makeover has been running since 2004 and was first hosted by Claire Sweeney.
She presented the programme for several series before Terri Dwyer took over.
In Spring 2011, the programme returned to its original format and was given a new look with Catherine Gee as the new host for series 8.
