HOST WITH THE MOST
Scarlett and Jack Whitehall have been named as the first two guest hosts of the show.
SHE’S been named Queen of the Jungle and hosted Saturday Night Takeaway with Ant & Dec – and now Scarlett Moffatt is set for her latest TV appearance.
The hilarious reality star will be the first of a number of celebrities to present Channel 4’s Host The Week, but what do we know about the show?
When does Host The Week start on TV?
Host The Week airs tonight (June 22) at 9pm on Channel 4.
The show goes head-to-head with ITV’s Killer Women with Piers Morgan and DIY SOS on BBC One.
You can also catch up with Channel 4’s on demand service.
What is Host The Week?
The new hour-long improvised show will see each host put through their paces in a series of unconventional challenges.
These include the star taking on roles in topical sketches, co-hosting a satirical news show and even playing host to a game show with real life contestants.
Host The Week will also feature improvisers and comedians, directed by Tom Parry from award-winning sketch group Pappy’s.
Who is presenting Host the Week?
Scarlett has been named as the first guest host of the show, and Jack Whitehall will also be taking a turn.
Another celebrity, who hasn’t been named yet, will also be taking the reins for a show.
Ed Havard from Channel 4 said: “This hilarious and topical hybrid show will offer a unique televisual experience for viewers as anything can, and probably will happen.”
Who is Scarlett Moffatt?
Outspoken Scarlett rose to prominence after her family appeared on Channel 4’s Gogglebox and she quickly grew a fan base thanks to her one liners.
The gig saw her fly to Australia to be part of I’m a Celebrity, where she was eventually made Queen of the Jungle.
After being crowned Queen of the Jungle, the job offers have been rolling in for Scarlett.
As well as being on the panel for Holly Willoughby’s quiz show, Play To The Whistle, Scarlett was also snapped up by Channel 4 for a revival of Streetmate (formerly presented by Davina McCall).
Her first official presenting gig was even bigger, though – she co-hosted the super-prestigious National Television Awards alongside Dermot O’Leary.
She also bagged a job on Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, where she proved a big hit.
